Kaelyn is 8mths old as of yest- 21st Jun'09! How time flies! ;) She's still bo gay/toothless so I'm still enjoying b-feeding her though the thoughts of her biting me still make me shiver! ;p She loves standing now but with assisted supports..... She's one lazy girl who still doesn't crawl...Just enjoy flipping here and there but enjoy seated playing with her toys etc... ;)
Milestones at 8mths:
- Scoop things up with just one little hand and transfer them from one hand to the other fairly easily.
- Having fun banging objects/toys together.
- Having mild separation anxiety but as long as someone is ard to accompany her, she'll be fine.
- Actively engages in hiding games and loves when DD plays the peek-a-boo baby Pooh with her.
- Able to recognise different tones and inflections and may burst into tears if I talk harshly or scold her.
- Will start looking for dropped objects & to open her hand and fingers at will to drop and throw objects.
Mama & Papa always enjoy watching every lil milestone u reached and are proud of u! ;)

Started Kaelyn on porridge on the 15th Jun'09, bout a week short of 8mths old! ;) Decided to start her on porridge cos she's sick of eating cereals liao, rejecting her cereal feeds and keeping her mouth shut...Sigh. Anyway glad she's loving her porridge though she's a slow eater... ;)
1st porridge meal - Fish/Meat porridge with pumpkin & potato & LOVE :D

I'm feeling better now aft 'pouring' out to papa and thanks all for the encouragements & supports! ;D Mummy Cherlyn is still going strong mentally but weak physically cos........ Mama is sick now!
Nursing a blocked nose tats leads to frequent headaches and now itchy cough is joining in the 'fun'!!! ;( Think the blockage is causing my old ailment of sinus to act up and tats why I experienced headaches often! Arrrrggghhhhh sicko! :"(
Am so tired lor....now loading with vitamins/pi pa gao/vicks/manuka honey etc.... Haiz anything tat can relieve me! Not able to take any flu medication due to breastfeeding and this makes my recovery process soo soo slow! Luckily hub is ard and helps me to babysit Kae while I catch some needed rest/sleep!! ;) Good job papa!! Mummy appreciates it!! =)
On a side note, Kaelyn is not taking her solids well nowadays...Sigh. Tml I be starting her on porridge which is 1 week short of 8mths...Hope she will like it! Else worried leh cos by right/now, bb shld be taking up to 2-3 solids meals daily le...but she's not doing likewise! ;( She only wan her MILK MILK! *Headache* My mum keeps on saying..she's shrinking lah, gonna lost her chubby-ness soon... ;( Tats not good.... Haiz makes me feel like a lousy mama who's not looking aft/feeding her well! ;( Booooo........ Really need to 'beef' her up!
Last wk aft her review with Dr Ang, we went to United Square as I wanted to buy some Organic finger foods for her... and luckily managed to grab some, including bottled puree for standby purposes! ;p
Now I'm into introducing Organic foods to her.... As of now, the foods she's eating are all/mostly organic ones except for Apples/Pears/Bananas. =) So I will usually go to the Organic store, Sunny Choice at Railway mall to buy/stock on her food.. ;) Hopefully can stick to this 'Going Organic" til she turns at least 1year old! ;)

Cereal and bottled purees! ;)Previously I was still praising Kaelyn on her using the sippy cup!! Now she likes to chew on the spout for fun!! Then her shirt will be drenched with water!! *faint* Notti gal...
And oh yes now she hates to be left alone! If I leave her gng elsewhere to do some chores and the moment she see me walking away, back facing her... no sooner she will wail!! Chaim lah!! Else someone else have to be ard to accompany her.... So depending on her moods, sometimes on lucky days I'm able to get things done, i.e preparing for her bath, puree etc... Else she needs to be ard with me if not carry her... Must be able to see me lah!! Guess she's slowly developing this separation anxiety which hits bbs when they're bout 6-8mths etc. Haiz....
But luckily she's ok with her daddy ard with her alone or with my parents, me not ard oso nvm... ;p Hopefully me and hub able to attend my fren's wedding lunch next Sat.... *Fingers crossed*

I'm feeling so lousy and depressed now.... ;( Being a good mama is sooo sooo tough..*Sigh* Kaelyn always like to test my patience and I will always end up losing my cool and scream at her! ;( I know I'm bad!! It's natural for bb to fuss, wail & cry.... But I dun know why I just can't keep my cool at times and be more patient and doting on her... I felt soooo upset whenever/aft I scream/scold her... *SAD* She's only 7mths+ and here I am with no patience towards her.... I am such a failure! ;( I tried my best but sometimes she's just soo difficult to handle and is cranky! Plus her crying night stints...I'm falling dead soon! At times, I really ponder shld I go back to the workforce so that I will appreciate her more than just spending 24hrs with her! The pros and cons are holding me back... I wanna dig under the blanket and have a big big cry and get over it and starts afresh again.... But my heart is sooo tired.. I'm physically and mentally drained out. Can mummy have a break??? ;( I think I'm having POST POST POST NATAL DEPRESSION lah! Feel like I'm gonna go crazy anytime.... Can anyone pls advice/assist this helpless mummy? ;(

BB Kaelyn is much better now..Thxs God! ;) Except sometimes she's more grouchy and needs more attn from me! Otherwise she's fine! =) I'm greatful for that! But will still cont to monitor her temp....
Dearest Kaelyn!And yest I decided to gave her the Nuby sippy cup for her to drink water and surprisingly she took it so well and drank quite a lot! :D Mama is soo happy & proud of her!! She knows how to hold the handles and drink from the spout teat. :) Much better than the Dr Brown's sippy cup! Glad she loves drinking water cos whenever I spoon feed her with water during her solid-feeding, she always readily open her mouth to drink the water than to eat the cereal! ;) But sad to say that nowadays she doesn't take her cereals well now.. *Sigh* Think I'm gonna start her on porridge soon and hope her appetite is back! Oh yess yest she ate half a apple of puree! So happy!! It's good to load on those vitamins from fruits especially she's recovering now....

BB Kaelyn is down with viral infection! ;( Wonder how she caught it? *Sigh*
Her fever hit as high as 39.2*c last night! Gotten us sooo worried...
So suddenly she just developed a fever last night when she went to bed... I felt she was warmer than usual and slightly more grouchy...Haiz...
Hence this morn we brought her to to Dr Ang at TMC...Luckily the wait isn't tat long.... Aft examining her, Dr Ang suspected it to be either UTI or viral fever infection since the fever was so sudden and high... ;( Hence proceeded to use a blood test and to collect urine sample...
My poor girl...she wail so badly when the needle was pricked onto her lil finger and they drew quite amt of blood from her...See le soooo heartpain!! ;"(
End result, Dr Ang suspected it to be viral infection and was prescribed with Brufen medication and was to be put on antibiotics! ;( So young need to take antibiotics liao, I felt soo SAD! No choice as her fever was quite high...and Dr told us this fever will come on and off for bout 3-4days... *SIGH* So we have to constantly monitor her temp and gave the medication accordingly.... My poor girl!
Hope she will have a speedy recovery soon!!
Gonna be a tough time for mama now cos she's even more cranky than usual! ;(
