Been so occupied and tired that I hardly able to find time to blog......
Time is so precious yet limited now..... Even if got time, I will be trying to catch a wink or two b4 I'm up for bb's next feed! Hmmmm..........tats why many mummies said "Better sleep all u can b4 bb's out!" How true is that!! =) Sleep is so much deprived now as compared to the times when I used to sleep for 10-12hrs!!! ;( But I'm sure all are worth doing for, whenever I see baobei!! ;) Now everyday, most of the time is spent on breastfeeding Kaelyn and pumping out milk..... how tiring is that... wat to do.... guess tats Motherhood!

Aft discharged from the hosp and on the 9th day aft my labour, I developed an infection on the skin in between the 'v' area!!! :"( *Sob* I cried abit cos was feeling so xin ku & uncomfy! So on the following day, Fri- 31st Oct I asked Dar A to bring me to a nearby clinic to see a female GP..... Cos I dun wanna go wait for long hrs @ my gynae's clinic!! :( Aft having seen the GP, she gave me some solution and cream to apply...... The same night I see no improvement & hence decided to see my gynae on Sat, bringing fwd my appt/review with him..... Lucky the nurse is able to slot in an appt for me.... but as usual I got to wait!! So...... w/o fail, we waited for near to 2hrs for my turn! Dr Koh said it was a common kind of infection and asked me not to worry etc, he prescribed anti-biotics pills for me and a cream to apply plus a jab on my butt! *Ouch*

But I'm glad the infection has since subsided and I felt sooo much better now!! ;)

Well I still have yet to blog bout my birth's story!! ;p

So now, I shall give it a brief summary b4 my memory fails me!
Here it goes.....

I still rem on the wkends of 18th & 19th Oct, I start to experience more BH contractions and some form of uneasiness plus backaches..... so naturally I got this instinct that labour shld be more or less near since I'm entering into my 39wk! ;)

On Monday, 20th Oct the wee hrs ard 4am plus I woke up as usual to pee...... aft peeing and b4 returning to bed, I felt a warm flow of discharge and hence went back to the loo to check.... Ahaa.... I got a slight show and guess it's the blood-tinged, gelatinous plug of mucus that was blocking the cervical canal which may have been dislodged! This is the early/first sign of labour! ;)
I was quite shocked initially and faster woke Dar A up to inform him! Aft a while, I got the urge to urine again & went to pee.... aft done with it, I suddenly felt a slight leakage of water which may have been the amniotic fluid though it was a slight dribble and not a gush! An even more clear indication that labour may be NEAR!! *Nervous*
Aft which, I experienced more contractions though the interval wasn't that near like every 5 - 10 mins.... Dar A and I were quite nervous and worried at the same time... so we decided to phone our gynae.....
Dr Koh returned our call at ard 5am plus and advised to wait and see how unless the contractions was really near and the water bag has burst then we can proceed to hosp immediately.....if not he asked us to go to his clinic in the morn and let him examined 1st... hence we went back to bed though we can barely sleep orie!! =)

Worried that it might be the day for my delivery, so I went to take a hot shower and eat some breakfast b4 we head to the clinic.... of cos bringing our hosp bag along..(in case)!!
Reached the clinic at ard 9.45am........ but still I ended up waiting for Dr Koh for bout 1/2-1hr! *Sian* Finally my turn le and he said why we were so anxious lah, still rem wat he said bout the obvious labour signs etc.... blah blah blah.... aft which he did a cervix check on me! DAMN PAINFUL lor!!!! Finally have a 'taste' of it le aft hearing pple complaint bout the pain! ;(
He said my cervix haven dilated yet...... and asked me to go home rest etc...but he predicted I will experienced more contractions later tonight or the next morning... if the intervals was near, I can admit myself to TMC le, dun need contact him....

So.... aft the false alarm, we had lunch and bot coconut water back cos since labour was near le..so guess drinking coconut water b4 actual delivery was essential bah.... =)

Upon reaching home, I went to sleep!! So tired.....and contractions was like on/off and not like every 5-10mins...... so this continued till the night when I went to bed.....
Din slept well cos contractions was quite frequent & the pain was somehow quite intense....and I kept monitoring the intervals for the contractions.....until bout 6.15am(21st Oct) onwards...contractions was really near and intense like every 5-10mins interval!! So I knew today must be the day dearest bb wanna makes her appearance le!!! ;)
So aft washing up and a quick breakfast..... we left home for TMC! ;D

Reached TMC at ard 8.30am or so...... and proceeded to the observation ward while Dar A attended to the admission procedures etc...

Alright here's my birth story:

8.40am - 9am: Changed to their hosp gown and not long Dr Koh was here cos he was doing his morn rounds of routine check-up...Hence was glad able to see him tat fast! Right timing!
He did a cervix check on me and I was bout 1cm dilated....and at the same time, he burst my water bag!!! Damn BLOODY PAINFUL pls!!! No sooner I felt a warm gush of water flowing out...Dr Koh said he expected tat my bb be arriving at ard 6pm +/- So meaning 8-9hrs of labour! The nurse oso asked me if I ve decided or wanted any form of pain relief... and w/o hesitation I asked for Epidural! ;p Cos I really cannot imagine the labour pain I be gng thru since contractions was orie so intense.... Ok I got to admit tat my threshold for pain is LOW!
I forgotten when did the nurse shaved me leh...either b4 the cervix check or aft lah....
Ok anyway aft tat, was given enema to clear my bowels.....

9am - 9.30am: Was in the toilet clearing my bowels, cleaning/washing up.... aftwhich the nurse brought me over to the delivery ward...

9.30am - 10am: A doc came to administered epidural on me..aft which was put on the drip, and blood was drawn oso for bb's cordlife thingy etc......Btw Epidural wasn't that scary as it sounds or seems to be..... ;p Dar A came to the room aft he was done with the admission etc..

10am - 6pm+/- : Was waiting for actual labour and contractions wasn't that bad or was bearable cos was put on epi orie, even while doing the cervix checks, it wasn't that painful too! Thx God! But.......I was shivering, aft which vomitted oso....due to the side effects of Epi! And ard mid noon, I developed fever! Was feeling SO TERRIBLE lor... and Dr Koh advised the nurse to give me antibiotics.... *SUCKS* If I can rem correctly, I nearly cried cos I was feeling so lousy and unbearable due to the fever and long hrs of labour... ;( And I was told to breathe in oxygen oso, so thru out the labour, I was put on the oxygen mask thingy on and off... Was feeling so drowsy..Sigh....Lucky Dar A was ard to give me encouragement and supports! ;) If not I nearly like wanna give up!! *Oops* ;p
And oh yes, I rem feeling hungry and thirsty but no food was allowed though they allowed me to sip bit of water on/off....

By ard 6pm+.... I was orie/almost 10cm dilated but Dr Koh has yet to arrive.....though the nurse told us that he was on his way now..... but.... suddenly he got another emergency case over at Mt A so he be dropping there 1st!!! Walua I was like WAT??!!! Still has to wait??!!
Ok anyway by this time, the nurses had orie prepared all equipments and stuffs for my delivery and the nurses had asked me to start pushing once the contractions came..... so it was like taking in deep breathes, aft which pant and puff and etc...

Think ard 6.20pm+/- or so, Dr Koh FINALLY CAME and assist me in my delivery.... as I had a fever and worried that bb might be in destress, so he decided to use vacuum to assist & to speed up my labour... Aft which I was told to push hard and with 1/2 pushes, bb Kaelyn was out!! *Viola* :D

And Dar A was told to cut Kaelyn's umbilical cord and to shout:"I'm a father le..!!" Twice!!
Haaa damn farnie...but I was too too tired and exhausted to laugh anyway! =)
Aft which was stitching and having all done up etc..... I was pushed back to my room...By then it was orie 7pm+. Was so tired and hungry!

Guess tats bout it on the saga of my birth's espisode! :)
