Hmmmm shld I go for a
swim today or wait till my next gynae's checkup-
coming Tuesday?? ;)
Haiz.... headache so indecisive! ;{
Anyway, I felt
bb's movements or quickening yest!!! ;) It's like fluttering feels and slight kicks especially at the right side of my tummy!! ;) Very pleasant & wonderful feeling!! I first felt it in the noon time while on the bed listening to bb's musical rhymes!! Perhaps he/she likes it and responded to me!!
;D *Smile*The 2nd time I felt it was during the night time aft my dinner.... ;) Once again, I felt
GREAT!! ;DNow I'm in my
17wk+ and experiencing the following changes-
Fetal Development:
This is a period of rapid growth as the fat begins to form underneath the baby's skin. Baby and placenta are about equal in size now. The tiny heart is pumping as much as 25 quarts of blood a day! The reflexes are probably in place now as the baby sucks, swallows and blinks.
Now about the size of an avocado now, your baby weighs about 6 ounces and is about 5 inches long. Over the next few weeks your baby is about to make a huge jump in size, nearly doubling their weight and getting much longer as well. This will help them to be more proportionate in size, letting the body catch up with the head.
Now the eyes are in the final position and the ears are just about done moving as well. Permanent teeth buds are forming behind the baby teeth buds that are already in place. The baby’s heartbeat can be clearly heard in the doctor’s office with special equipment.
Baby’s bones are becoming harder and a special substance, called Myelin, slowly forms a protective barrier for the spinal cord. Vernix, the protective sealant for baby’s skin is starting to form and cover the skin now, too.
Maternal Changes:
Your uterus is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches below your belly button. The baby is going through a growth spurt and chances are, you may be gaining too! Average weight gain is between five and ten pounds at this point. As your uterus begins to grow and make room for the baby you may begin to experience round ligament pain now. This is normal and should subside with rest. Round ligament pain is felt on the sides of your abdomen. If the pain is severe or does not subside with rest you should talk with your health practioner.
Have you felt any fluttering in your uterus? You may be
feeling your baby move any time now if you haven't already!
(I finally feel it..... ;D) *Grin*Ideas for Dad:Mom may be feeling the baby moving within her but you may not be able to yet. She may yell for you to quickly put your hand on her tummy, but you feel nothing. Don't worry - the baby has nothing against you. They play games very early! Humor mom, place your hand on her tummy and one of these days, you'll feel your little one - and your heart will be stolen forever.
(Haaa this is sooo true can!! Yest when I felt the quickening, faster called Dar A to feel it... but he can't feel it at all, bb's playing games wit him!! ;p)
